The South West Regional Wound Care Program advocates for the public’s right to equitable, evidence-informed skin and wound care in all health care settings in Home and Community Care Support Services South West (HCCSS-SW). If you are a person with a skin or wound issue in the HCCSS-SW or if you are a family member or caregiver of such an individual, this is the place to begin your search for information about:

• Types of skin and wound problems and what treatments and/or preventative measures could be part of your plan of care;
• Measures you can take to prevent skin and wound issues;
• How you can help heal your wounds – you are the most important member of your wound care team, and;
• Available resources in your community.

On this site you also have the ability to ask local skin and wound care experts questions not otherwise answered by contents on this site, via the 'Ask an Expert' feature.
